This lab test is probably the most under-rated when it comes to looking for deep causes level of why you’re not feeling or performing well.

Organic acids testing is not well understood by most health practitioners because it is not easy to interpret and extensive training is required to understand it and correlate it with health history and symptoms.

I’ve been fortunate enough to be trained by several well known doctors on Organic Acids Test interpretation, and have passed this knowledge to my practitioners.  I’d love to share what I’ve learned with you how this powerful assessment tool can help you optimise your body and mind.

Description

An Organic Acids Test (OAT) is one of our favourite tests as it provides excellent information on intestinal yeast and bacteria, while also assessing many aspects of your metabolism. Energy production, B-vitamin status, neurotransmitters, detoxification, glutathione and other important markers are included in the analysis, which comes from a single urine sample taken at home.

In Dave’s Words

In my clinical practice, I have seen the Organic Acids Test correlate perfectly with a previous symptoms and health history. It is one of the best all round tests available (probably the #1 test I recommend). The OAT test provides detailed data on specific yeast, bacteria, neurotransmitter, detox, energy, or vitamin imbalances that need to be addressed immediately. When I did my first OAT test, I found that I had significant vitamin B6 deficiency, and my dopamine and adrenaline metabolism was low, making me feel tired and down.

Excellent Test for Gut Issues

Home stool testing is a truly excellent way to assess digestive function, but the organic acids test is also able to underlying “leaky gut,” intestinal bacterial overgrowth or intestinal permeability type that may be causing your symptoms. Sometimes, the organic acids test is superior to a stool test.

At the same time, this test is able to provide information about oxalate levels, cellular energy production, dopamine and serotonin metabolism, B6 and B12 deficiencies, vitamin C and antioxidant levels, liver function and glutathione metabolism.

If you have any additional questions on this lab test and how it performs against a stool test, or any other questions, please feel free to contact us. We’re always here to help!
