Description
There are different types of food allergy, sensitivity and intolerance. This test checks for a specific “delayed” food reaction from the IgG antibodies.
IgG food sensitivity testing is different from standard food allergy testing that looks for severe, life threatening or immediate food reactions that happen due to the IgE reaction. These are your peanut, seafood, strawberry, reactions that happen quickly and are easy to spot.
Because IgE reactions tend to be quite obvious, I don’t really feel a need to test for foods that you already know give you a severe reaction, because the chances are that you already know all about them!
I’d rather test for your reactions to foods that are might be causing hidden immune reactions that occur 1-3 days after you have eaten the food. With an IgG food sensitivity, you could experience the food’s negative effect 3 days after eating it, meaning it is much harder to identify from symptoms alone.
If you keep eating foods that are causing an immune reaction each day, you are unknowingly overtaxing your immune system. In this situation you’ll struggle to feel well, no matter what you do and we must remember that even innocuous foods can cause problems for a given individual – perhaps you.
I believe food sensitivity testing is very important for everyone, but it’s especially useful if you have one of the following symptoms, or a mix of them.
Do You Suffer From:
- Unexplained fatigue
- Bloating & gas
- Abdominal pain or cramps
- Constipation or diarrhoea
- Headaches
- Joint Pain
- Catch colds easily and struggle to rid yourself of them
- Skin conditions
- Behavioral issues – focus, tics, attention
- Fuzzy mind or memory
- Nasal congestion and post-nasal drip
- Ear discharge
- Feeling anxious or low in moods
Some of the most commonly eaten foods are the biggest culprits, including eggs, cheese, whey protein, almonds and other nuts and seeds, chicken, wheat and other grains.
This specialised food test looks at 94 of the most common foods we eat. It also tests for an IgG immune reaction to Candida albicans, one of the most common fungal organisms to overgrow in the digestive tract and cause problems.
Why test for Candida?
Candida is a yeast organism that can change to a fungus and invade the intestinal lining, or other parts of the body such as the urinary tract and mouth.
As it overgrows it can produce toxins that create inflammation and leaky gut syndrome. Its toxins can cause many symptoms, and it’s one of the most common problems we see clinically.
After entering the blood, Candida can cause a body-wide immune response. Indeed, a wide range of disorders are associated with Candida including autism, multiple sclerosis, depression, and chronic fatigue.
Poor diet, stress, antibiotics, oral contraceptives, chemotherapy, and anti-inflammatory steroids appear to increase people’s susceptibility to Candida and common symptoms include bloating, white coating on tongue, heartburn, stomach and intestinal pain, skin problems and fuzzy moods and thinking.
Science-Based Food Sensitivity Test
This test is certainly one of the best food sensitivity test available for ease of use and price. The trouble with other tests is that you need a blood draw, which makes them inconvenient and more expensive.
This lab is easy to do at home, its results simple to understand. IgG4 testing is backed by science and this panel only tests the foods you’re most likely to eat (saving money). It’s great for testing the whole family (ages 1 and up).
Simple at Home Test
All labs at davehompes.com have been chosen for ease of use. We can mail out these labs anywhere in Europe, Northern America and with a few days’ delay on shipping, many other countries. They can be completed by you the same week in the comfort of your home.
When you receive your testing kit in the mail, all you have to do is follow the simple instructions. You just use the automated finger stick to poke your finger once, and then fill up the circles on the card with a few drops of blood.
After that, you just place it in the prepaid envelope and mail it to the lab.
Once you’ve mailed your testing kit back to the lab, you can expect your results to be released within about 3-4 weeks, sometimes much sooner. At that time you will receive a full PDF of your lab test results.
Results Review Consultation
A Skype or Phone call with one of Dave Hompes Master Practitioners is included in this package! The purpose is to review your results and explain additional factors that are important, over and above the foods that you are sensitive to.
For example, a high number of food sensitivities may indicate that you need to do some work to heal your digestive system. Perhaps you have some bad bugs growing in there that need addressing, and that may be contributing to your symptoms.
We will assess your symptoms, food journal, symptoms and health history to help shed light on the reasons why you have developed food sensitivities and, indeed, your symptoms. This enables us to provide the most accurate possible advice to help you look and feel yourself again in the shortest possible time.
It’s Time to Take back control of your health & body!
